Releasing New Album

July 21st, 2008 by Laz

Thoughts I drop a line to let all of you know whats been happening here @ Chainsaw Estates....

2008 has been some year for NASSAU CHAINSAW.

Starting from the top of the year, we tore off the shrink wrap on this bitch, and spent Jan/Feb on tour with DisGraceLand Demolitions Crew, spreading Fire, Blood, Vomit, and Stitches all over the Northeast and Mid-west. Every town we hit and every band we played with were top notch. Thanks to everybody that hooked us up on that run (Kevin-Holy Cross, Beast and the rest of H8 INC, CARDZ from detroit, Pervert, Philly D and more... too many to name please forgive me if I forget), we will be sure to see you all again before summer is out.

Since we got home in February, the main focus for us has been put out the new record. After testing the new material on tour, those who think they might be familiar with this band, you better be ready with some diapers and baby wipes, cause you are guaranteed to shit your pants.

As some of you are already in the know, this record is being produced by Coma, singer from Candiria/Hope Kills Fear. We've got a sound bigger than than the Cloverfield monster, and twice as pissed. Working with Coma has been an amazing experience and it will definitely show on the record.

We recently finished drum tracks with the legendary Mike Barilie over at Sweetfire Studios (formerly Purple Light Studios), where he's recorded some amazing bands (Candiria; E-Town Concrete; 40 Below Summer), and currently are recording guitars at the new Chainsaw Estates tucked away in Brooklyn.

And because smashing a TV with a HellHammer is always more fun with friends...we've also got a number of our closest motherfuckers joining us on the record, such as Tim (VOD/BloodSimple), Sal Lococo (Sworn Enemy), Coma (of course), Mike D.(Carbomb/Neck), and a few more surprises I can't even discuss yet. Elliot Hoffmann, from the band Carbomb is gonna be mixing the record for us... the rough mixes we got back are so killer...I wish I could put them up on the myspace player.... You'll just have to check out the songs live until then....

A few of the tracks on the new record....

  • "Back Up"
  • "Asylum"
  • "Hiding in the Garbage with a Knife" (Feat. Sal from Sworn Enemy)
  • "Speak in Tongues"
  • "Behind Enemy Lines"

It's a been a crazy fucking process but I will try and keep some of you updated with more info as we can get it out....

We're looking for the record to be out later this fall with another tour to follow. There's some sick plans for Nassau Chainsaw in the second half of 2008. if the first half was any indication.... the rest of the year will probably send us all straight to hell with a grin.

Finally Im happy to announce that we have our man Kyle on board as General of our Nassau Chainsaw Guerilla Street Team... if anyone is interested hit us up, and Kyle will get back to you so you can get your Ammo Box, Foot Locker, and Molotov Rags
