I regret to inform you that another Brother has left us. On Thursday Nov.10th 2011 Peter Tobaco passed away. He was only 33 years old. Peter was one of NCDDC's best Suspension Practitioners. He was an amazing Piercer and Rigger as well as an amazing person all around. Pete has shared the stage with NCDDC over 80 times in the past few years. Peter was a great Father, Friend, and one of the best Crew Members we had. Pete was the type of guy to help out with anything needed, from driving, fixing the van, cooking amazing meals, grinding, to throwing down and smashing kids up in the crowd if they got out of line. Pete was also great to talk to, being all ears if you needed advice. Pete was down for whatever, wherever, whenever. There was never a time we couldn't count on him. He was always on time or even early. I will always remember the good times we had, and the amazing conversations on those long drives. Pete was a force to be reckoned with, he left us too soon. When learning the art of suspension I threw my first hook thru Pete's forearm, Pete also took the time to teach me how to rig. He has taught many other NCDDC members some of whom are the best crew members we have. Our last show with Pete he did everything, rigged the suspension, held the ropes, pierced everyone, and set up the flesh pull. You can see some footage of that show HERE. Pete can never be replaced, but we will remember all he has taught us, we will miss him as we continue to travel on this journey.
R.I.P. Pete, say hello to Spliff for us!
